This year's Middle Park Stakes promises to be one of the deepest-ever runnings of the Group 1 contest on record.

Some very talented two-year-olds are already on the ground this year and with the outstanding horse of his generation Pinatubo set for the Dewhurst, one or two youngsters look set to line up this weekend rather than take on the champion two-year-old elect next month.

There has been much talk this week about the strength of this year's Middle Park field, and rightly so.
