Tom Queally – the man who rode Frankel to all his 14 victories –has praised exciting Glorious Goodwood winner Rumble Inthejungle as "one of the best juveniles I've ever ridden" as the colt heads to Doncaster's Flying Childers Stakes.

The Richard Spencer-trained two-year-old blasted home in impressive style in the Molecomb Stakes last time and travels to Yorkshire for his Group 2 assignment before a potential tilt in the Group 1 Middle Park on September 29.

And looking even further ahead, Spencer is confident of more progress next season, with Royal Ascot and the Commonwealth Cup firmly in his sights.

Of the Doncaster challenge, Queally said: "It's exciting. He'll go there with a seriously good chance. He's right up there with some of the best two-year-olds I've ridden.

"He's sort of a charged ball of speed, but he's the ultimate professional. He switches off when he needs to and picks up when I ask him. He doesn't waste an ounce of energy."

He continued: "He's an exciting prospect and the best is yet to come – I think it will be a nice opportunity to prove how good he is."

Spencer shares the optimism that his smart juvenile can go one better than his sire Bungle Inthejungle, who was a runner-up in the Flying Childers in 2012.

The Newmarket trainer said: "He's come out of Goodwood very well. Tom had a sit on him and he was very happy.

"He's progressed from each start and I hope there's more to come. He has a fantastic temperament and he's blessed with a lot of class and ability. He's an exciting horse and I wouldn't be swapping him for anything else I've seen."

Spencer added: "We'll stick at five [furlongs] for now, but we'll have a think about running him in the Middle Park after that. Hopefully he can progress from a Group 3 to a Group 2 and then a Group 1.

"We'll keep working with him to make sure he is in tip-top shape for next week, but I'm sure he'll go there with a live chance."

If a Middle Park clash with last weekend's impressive Ballydoyle winner Ten Sovereigns was not exciting enough, Spencer is looking further ahead, to next season's Commonwealth Cup.

He said: "He's not just an out-and-out five furlong horse, he's got scope to be a six furlong horse. He finished his race off well at Goodwood and he wasn't stopping when he hit the line.

"He's a big horse, he dwarfed all his rivals at Goodwood and he's got the attitude and physique to train on into next season."

Watch Louis Treize win at Newcastle

Another potential star in the Sefton Lodge ranks is Louis Treize, a three-length maiden winner on his second start at Newcastle.

Phil Cunningham, part-owner of Rebel Racing: "Louis Treize is a very special horse and goes to Doncaster for the sales race on Thursday. He'll be much better next year and we've been very patient with him.

"He's not as furnished [as Bungle Inthejungle] but he'll be a proper three-year-old next season. He'll keep us excited over the winter and I really hope he can be a Guineas horse – it's always been one of my favourite races.

"I won the race with Cockney Rebel [in 2007] and Tom won it with Frankel [2011], so we're winding Richard [Spencer] up that he hasn't won the Guineas yet! He should stay a mile so the dream is still alive and we'll head towards that."
