Punchestown festival tips: Thursday's best bets from two Racing Post experts
Day three of the Punchestown festival is here – but who do two of our top tipsters fancy most?
Klassical Dream
By Kevin Morley
Race: Ladbrokes Champion Stayers Hurdle (5.25)
Odds: 13-8
Horses who ran in the Stayers' Hurdle at Cheltenham don't have a good record in this, but Klassical Dream fits all the other trends and is taken to make it back-to-back wins in the race.
Minx Tiara
By Mark Boylan
Race: Close Brothers Irish EBF Mares' Handicap Chase (7.10)
Odds: 4-1
David O'Brien has done a tremendous job with this €1,000 bargain buy and looks to have found the perfect target against her own sex to register a sixth career win.
She rattles off decent ground and arrives here in top form after a clearcut Limerick win last month.
The 8lb rise she earned for that success puts her only 1lb higher than her hurdles mark.
Thursday's Punchestown previews:
4.15 Punchestown: 'He seems in great form' – Grange Walk out for quick redemption for John Ryan
4.50 Punchestown: Williams out to end best-ever season on a high with stable star Potters Corner
5.25 Punchestown: 'I hope he can behave himself, he has the ability' – Townend on Klassical Dream
