Who can take their opportunity for a first Group 1 of the season in the last-chance saloon?

We're reaching that time of year when fillies who have yet to bag a Group 1 in Britain this season are drinking in the last-chance saloon and five of the six runners are doing just that.

Only Elmalka, who won the 1,000 Guineas over course and distance in May, has recorded a top-level success on home soil this year and she isn't even among the favourites for the race.

Fellow three-year-old Tamfana is the best fancied of the Classic generation. She was a length behind Elmalka in the 1,000 Guineas but endured an awful passage when trying to weave through the pack and may have won with more luck.
