Three-time Grade 1 winner Impaire Et Passe makes chasing debut at Fairyhouse - Saturday's punting pointers

Punting pointers from some of today's race meetings . . .

Doncaster: big day for Pritchard

Callum Pritchard is one of the young jockeys of the moment, and the 7lb claimer could be in for a brilliant day on Town Moor with four rides, including three for Ben Pauling

Pritchard is operating at a strong 29 per cent strike-rate after scoring on seven of his last 24 rides.

One of those winners was Densworth for Pauling, and he now teams up with the trainer for exciting prospect No Questions Asked (11.42), hat-trick seeker I'm Ravenous (12.17) and Samuel Spade (1.27).

Pauling said: "No Questions Asked is a decent novice and got the job done at Carlisle even though he needed the run badly.

"I'm Ravenous is in good order and looks to be going the right way. He's progressive and should go very close.

"Samuel Spade will come on for his first run at Sandown. He's schooled nicely. All three should have strong chances."

Pritchard also partners Coastguard Station (2.02) for Henry Oliver.

Doncaster stat: Derham one to watch

Harry Derham has a 30 per cent strike-rate on Town Moor, having won with three of his ten runners. He is represented by Swallowfields (12.52), Nordic Tiger (1.27), Slugger (2.02) and Girl Of Gold (3.12).

Fairyhouse: Impaire Et Passe makes chasing debut

A red-hot beginners' chase (11.35) kicks off a wonderful weekend at the County Meath track, where three-time Grade 1 winner Impaire Et Passe begins life over fences against a whole host of potentially classy chasers.

The Willie Mullins-trained Impaire Et Passe finished last season in style by following up a narrow and controversial success in the Aintree Hurdle with a more emphatic one over Langer Dan in a Grade 2 on the final day of the season at Sandown.

Mullins said: "He has a lot of ability and if he can transfer that to fences he could be a good addition to our Arkle team."

Subsequent National Hunt Chase winner Corbetts Cross got off the mark over fences in the Fairyhouse opener last year, while Monkfish was victorious in 2020 before going on to Brown Advisory glory, so it tends to be a very good pointer to the Cheltenham Festival.

Waterford Whispers and Answer To Kayf, second and fourth behind Better Days Ahead in the Martin Pipe, are certainly no mugs, while Gordon Elliott has a strong hand with Staffordshire Knot and Twoohthree. Some eyebrows may have been raised when Jack Kennedy was booked for the latter.

Elliott said of his pair: "We feel they'll be better over fences than they were over hurdles. It's a hot race with Impaire Et Passe in there, but hopefully they can both give good accounts of themselves."

The return of 2023 Champion Bumper hero A Dream To Share is the biggest talking point in the 2m maiden hurdle (1.20). The six-year-old missed most of last season with a setback.
