Three things to note on Friday – Chris Cook takes a look at the day's action
Tadreeb on tasty mark and danger to hot favourite
Havana Sky will be a warm order for the 7f handicap at Lingfield (1.45) as he seeks his sixth win in a row, but Tadreeb is a potential blot against him. The seven-year-old won twice over this course and distance in the early weeks of 2022, rising to a mark of 92, but a subsequent losing run has taken him all the way down to 67. He switched yards in October, joining a trainer with a higher strike-rate in recent years than his previous one, and any revival would make him dangerous.
Tutty pair can boost recent stable form
December proved to be the best month of Gemma Tutty's young training career, with six winners from 18 runners, including an 11-1 handicap scorer last Saturday. Her two runners at Southwell this evening will be worth a look, both having shown steady progress since joining from other yards in the autumn. Bantz (6.00) was eased after interference last time and should appreciate this step up to 7f. Commander Crouch (8.00) bumped into an improving rival when second of ten last time.
Eyecatcher Boy well berthed at Southwell
Previously with Adam West, who is shifting his focus to France, Barnsnape Boy was an eyecatcher on his first start for Jim Boyle at Lingfield last month, his first outing for half a year. The grey ran on well up the straight after being settled in rear, and he should be able to take a handier position from stall two at Southwell this time (7.30).
