'This has always been the plan' - which filly has been laid out for the Listed Bosra Sham?

This race lost a bit of lustre when Nardra was scratched and it looks a trappy Listed affair for some of the more exposed juvenile fillies to pick up black type before the turf season ends.

Irish trainers have reaped some rewards in this, with three of the last ten runnings going their way. The Jessica Harrington is their only representative here with two runners, Kodilicious and Cold Hearted.

Kodilicious is the obvious place to start, given how the form of her Sligo maiden win in August has worked out. The second Rebel Diamond has rattled off a hat-trick including in Listed company, third-placed Last Encore has struck twice since and the fourth has been successful too.

She was fifth in the Birdcatcher nursery at Naas last time when it was reported she hit the track's ridges. That's a concern given the Rowley Mile's undulations, but if she handles the track she has a big shout.

It Ain't Two scored on the first of her 12 runs this when successful over 5f at the Craven meeting here in April.  She is versatile ground-wise as her second in a soft-ground Listed contest at York last time showed, and she has won on good before.

Magic Mild renews rivalry with It Ain't Two once more and sets the form standard following her Group 3 third at Salisbury. She won a competitive nursery on the July course on good to firm in the summer, so drying conditions will be up her street.

If considering those two, then Running Queen cannot be ignored. She finished in front of both of them when third in the Listed Marygate Stakes at York in May, although she must defy a 168-day absence.

Going update

The going was good, good to soft in places on Thursday following a dry week. That is set to continue into raceday and temperatures could rise to as high as 15C.

What they say

Hugo Palmer, trainer of It Ain't Two
I don't think there's been very many busier juveniles this year and she ran a great race at York last time. She needs to improve again, but fingers crossed she can.

Adam Ryan, assistant to Kevin Ryan, trainer of Magic Basma
She made a lovely winning debut and then had a tough race under a penalty last time, but it was a fine effort. She's improving with every run and deserves to take her chance at this level.

Clive Cox, trainer of Magic Mild
We're very pleased with how she is for this time of year. She's had a wonderful season and has already shown good form on the Rowley Mile. We'd be happy if the ground keeps drying out too.

Ollie Sangster, trainer of Running Queen
She was off with a small setback she got before Royal Ascot and we're looking forward to getting her out again. It looks like an ideal race for her to come back for and we're hoping for a positive run.

Tom Clover, trainer of Sea Emily Run
She won her maiden nicely and we've always quite liked her. This has always been the plan since her Goodwood win and the ground will be lovely too. We hope she can run a big race.
