The countdown to Galopin Des Champs v Fact To File II is on as Leopardstown's Christmas feast kicks off

When you have the second instalment of Fact To File v Galopin Des Champs on the big screen at Leopardstown in a few days time, it's hard not to treat everything else as trailers. 

This is the time to munch away on your Maltesers and popcorn, and slug away at your Coke Zero (you don't feel quite so guilty drinking that). The eagerly awaited sequel to the John Durkan has a start time of 2.35pm on Saturday and you won't want to take your eyes off it. The 2024 Savills Chase could be up for Best Picture at the end of the season and my money is on Galopin Des Champs for Best Actor. I'm a loyal old sod. 

That's not to say you can't enjoy the support acts. I remember seeing Picture This in Dublin's 3Arena back in 2019 and the singer playing beforehand caught my ear when I wasn't even listening. He turned out to be Lewis Capaldi. You never know.
