That Friday feeling: Paisley Park is back - and soon racegoers will be too
If Emma Lavelle and Andrew Gemmell thought they could sneak the mighty Paisley Park back on to the scene with a quiet introduction in a Grade 2 on a Friday, they were very wrong.
A total of 111 days separates the Ladbrokes Long Distance Hurdle and his big championship target at the Cheltenham Festival, but looking at this year’s line-up it does not seem that way in the slightest.
The Stayers' Hurdle has come four months early, with all of Britain’s leading protagonists in the division heading to Newbury looking to emerge on top. Regardless of which big name triumphs, Friday’s winner will be the new one everyone is gunning for.
