Super sub Sir Gino bids to become first name on the team sheet in Fighting Fifth
Sir Gino might just be promoted from super sub to the first name on the team sheet if he is able to land Newcastle's Grade 1 BetMGM Fighting Fifth Hurdle (2.10) in the absence of Constitution Hill.
He was due to make his chase debut at Kempton on Monday but has been drafted in this weekend in place of last year's Champion Hurdle winner, who was reported to be lame after a racecourse gallop.
The four-year-old, who finished ahead of his stablemate in that exercise at Newbury last week, ended last season unbeaten with victory at the top level in the Boodles Anniversary 4-Y-O Juvenile Hurdle.
