One key runner to note in each race on Wednesday at the Cheltenham Festival

Envoi Allen
1.30 Ballymore Novices' Hurdle

Envoi Allen could be the first leg of a killer Irish double, together with Tiger Roll, on the second day of the Festival, after Gordon Elliott opted for this 2m5f contest over a shorter trip. The seven-time unbeaten novice has yet to put a foot wrong and could put on a show in the Ballymore.

Champ
2.10 RSA Insurance Novices' Chase

Champ could prove just that if he can put his previous fall at the track behind him on this much bigger stage. However, he may not have things all his own way in front like he did for much of the race that day before capsizing at the second last.

Dame De Compagnie
2.50 Coral Cup Handicap Hurdle

Nicky Henderson has won this three times in the past decade and Dame De Compagnie has been the subject of serious support this week. Carrying the first colours of JP McManus, the mare knows all about Prestbury Park having won there when last seen in December.

Defi Du Seuil
3.30 Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase

Despite the absence of the hat-trick seeking Altior, the second day showpiece still looks set to serve up a treat and it may be better to side with the progressive form of the young pretender who seems versatile with regards to the track, trip and ground.

Tiger Roll
4.10 Glenfarclas Chase (Cross Country Chase)

Gone are the days when many punters used to head to the bars whilst the Cross Country Chase was run and the revival is all down to one horse - Tiger Roll. The dual winner was many people's idea of the meeting's banker a year ago and he is an even shorter price to create history this time around.

Mick Pastor
4.50 Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle

Paul Nicholls spent the first day down at his local pub and could be raising another glass if the topweight can do the business. Nicholls has won the four-year-old cavalry charge four times in the past decade.

Appreciate It
5.30 Weatherbys Champion Bumper

The getting out stakes on day two has gone the way of the punters in recent years and many will be wading into Willie Mullins' prime contender to extend the sequence after his spectacular win at Leopardstown last month.
