Royal Ascot Friday: ITV Racing tips
Our Spotlight experts select their best bets for day four of Royal Ascot
2.30 Ascot
Albany Stakes, Group 3, 6f, ITV
Day four kicks off with the second juvenile race of the meeting specifically for fillies and impressive Goodwood winner Flotus, who has the services of Frankie Dettori for the first time, is likely to be prominent at the head of the market.
Amo Racing's Hello You and the Aidan O'Brien-trained Prettiest are others with a similar profile.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Hello You
May have not beaten any stars at Wolverhampton but the time was good; exciting
King Edward VII Stakes, Group 2, 1m4f, ITV
Alenquer has his first run for William Haggas since beating subsequent Derby winner Adayar in Sandown's Classic Trial in April. Yibir was not much further behind in that race for Charlie Appleby and reopposes here.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Belloccio
Soundly beaten so far this year but slow ground could help him tap back into two-year-old promise
Royal Ascot day four tips: Paul Kealy's banker
Commonwealth Cup, Group 1, 6f, ITV
The newest Group 1 of the royal meeting has attracted a field of 20 runners, headed by last season's explosive Queen Mary and Prix Morny winner Campanelle for US trainer Wesley Ward.
French raider Suesa, Dragon Symbol and Middle Park winner Supremacy are among the many dangers in a wide-open race.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Campanelle
3-3 over sprint trips, including wins in the 2020 Queen Mary and the Morny; respected
Coronation Stakes, Group 1, 1m, ITV
Mother Earth and Empress Josephine, stablemates at Ballydoyle and the winners of the 1,000 Guineas and Irish equivalent respectively, clash in a mouthwatering battle of the fillies.
However, it is far from a two-horse and one stable race, with Group 1 juvenile winners Pretty Gorgeous, Shale and Alcohol Free and the highly touted Snow Lantern all among the opposition.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Pretty Gorgeous
Leading player on two-year-old form and should be sharper for her Irish 1,000 Guineas effort
The Punt Daily: best bets from Tom Collins on day four of Royal Ascot
Sandringham Stakes (Handicap), 1m, ITV
This straight mile fillies' handicap looks as tricky to decipher as ever, a notion summarised neatly by the last two winners being priced at 33-1.
Friendly, sixth in the Irish 1,000 Guineas when beaten a little more than three lengths, and Listed winner My Generation provide the class angles, but there are a host of unexposed dangers lurking.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Urban Violet
Bolted up at Sandown two starts ago and subsequent disappointment may have come too soon
Four horses who should thrive now the rain has arrived on Royal Ascot day four
Duke of Edinburgh Stakes (Handicap), 1m4f, ITV
This is a race that has suited those drawn high in recent years with the last ten winners all breaking from a double-figure stall position.
Scarlet Dragon gave Hollie Doyle her breakthrough moment at the royal meeting a year ago and the pair are back for more in the same race off 4lb higher. Aaddeey, Quickthorn, Valyrian Steel and Zabeel Champion are among the runners to win last time out.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Quickthorn
Smooth as you like on reappearance at Haydock (1m4f, good to soft); raised 13lb; player
Royal Ascot tips: six horses to back on day four of the royal meeting
Palace of Holyroodhouse Stakes (Handicap), 5f, ITV4
Charlie Hills is a dab hand with sprinters and Equality, a nine-length winner at Wolverhampton last time, boasts a fascinating profile on his handicap debut.
Significantly has significantly more experience but ran well behind the classy Dragon Symbol at Hamilton, while Mo Celita bids to complete an incredible six-timer for Adrian Nicholls.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Dream Composer
Chasing hat-trick after decisive come-from-behind wins on slow turf/AW; better to come
