ITV Racing tips: one key runner from each of the six races on ITV on Saturday

1.50 Newmarket
My Odds Boost On Betfair Handicap, 6f

A competitive field of 20 line up in this Class 2 handicap and the market leader is the James Horton-trained Asjad, who made a winning debut for his new yard when scoring at Redcar earlier this month.

Jumby, trained by Eve Johnson Houghton, is making his second start of the season and is one to watch after three wins – including twice on the Rowley Mile – last year.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Strike Red

Eyecatching sixth over C&D on reappearance; interesting off the same mark

2.05 Thirsk
Fitzdares Thirsk Hunt Cup Handicap, 7f

Astro King remains top of the betting for Thirsk's feature race of the year, which will be a first appearance of the campaign. The five-year-old has not triumphed since landing a handicap at Nottingham in April 2021. Cruyff Turn and On A Session are two others to make note of.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Astro King

Several good efforts in strong handicaps last year; goes well fresh; bold show likely

2.25 Newmarket
Betfair Daily Rewards Suffolk Handicap, 1m1f

The pairing of William Buick and Charlie Appleby could kickstart a fine day as Dhahabi leads the way in this 1m1f handicap. The four-year-old has won one of three in his career and finished third in the Autumn Stakes in October 2020. Notre Belle Bete has won three of his four starts since joining the Andrew Balding yard.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Fast Medicine

Dramatic improvement at Nottingham recently on first run since being gelded; 5lb penalty

2.40 Goodwood
William Hill Conqueror Fillies' Stakes, 1m

The Roger Varian-trained Zanbaq is one from one in her career and will face five other rivals in this listed race, including against the Ed Walker-trained four-year-old Primo Bacio, who has two career wins to her name.

William Haggas will be hoping for a return to form for Bashkirova, who has won three of her four starts.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Primo Bacio

Smart on her day, fifth in Group 1 last summer; hard to beat if anywhere near her best

3.00 Newmarket
Betfair Palace House Stakes (Group 3), 5f

The Palace House is a fiercely competitive running this year and provides many with a chance of scoring.

Four-year-old Twilight Calls is the market leader, but the Clive Cox-trained Tis Marvellous is full of confidence following success in the Rous Stakes at Ascot in October.

The classy trio of Came From The Dark, Hurricane Ivor and Khaadem are also ones to watch out for.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Twilight Calls

Very tidy success in C&D handicap on reappearance; looks one to follow; respected

3.40 Newmarket
Qipco 2,000 Guineas Stakes (Group 1), 1m

The first British Classic of the season is a very hot running and it is the two stars from Charlie Appleby who lead the way.

Native Trail has been the favourite for some time following his perfect juvenile campaign and impressive return in the Craven Stakes, but stablemate Coroebus has won two from three so far.

The William Knight-trained Checkandchallenge has received plenty of backing, as has Vertem Futurity Trophy Stakes winner Luxembourg, who leads Aidan O'Brien's team, which also includes Point Lonsdale.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Native Trail

Unbeaten colt who won two Group 1s last season; stands out as the one to beat
