'It looks like a winnable mark' - analysis and quotes for the feature handicap
Early favourite Liberty Coach probably deserves that status in this interesting 1m2f handicap.
The son of Le Havre has been in excellent form over the past few months and came within half a length of securing a hat-trick over this course and distance in September.
That was a solid effort given his starting berth in stall nine as a low draw is usually beneficial at Redcar. He was second, and the other five from the first six home were drawn in boxes 3, 4, 1, 2 and 5.
However, the first two in that contest were in those positions throughout and the time was nothing special. The draw has been kinder to Liberty Coach here and the return to slower ground won't hurt, but he will need to keep improving to defy a career-high mark up in grade.
Lightly raced three-year-old Bust A Move (stall four) is another contender with decent soft-ground form. The fact he has finished last on his previous two runs tempers enthusiasm, but a reproduction of his wide-margin Newmarket strike on heavy going last November would ensure he is competitive.
Lightening Company (five) also likes this terrain and has fallen to a mark of 81 for the first time since he scored over a mile here in April 2022. A resurgence is possible and the same is true for the well-treated Have Secret (two).
We usually see this four-year-old running in better races at a higher level. With Racing Post Ratings of 94, 95, 95, 93, 95 and 93 from his first six runs this season from June to September, Have Secret is tempting off a reduced BHA mark of 84.

Going update
The going is soft following a dry and overcast week beforehand. The forecast is set to remain dry and settled through racing.
What they say
Ben Haslam, trainer of Lightening Company
He's a course winner and it's not the easiest track to win at, which is a plus. He goes well at the trip, handles the ground and is fit and well from running throughout the summer. It looks like the right race for him and he's off a nice mark on his best form too. It looks like a winnable mark.
John Quinn, joint-trainer of Liberty Coach
We're very happy with him and he still seems to be in good form, so we're hoping he'll run well. He comes alive on the ground and he's run well at the track before too, so we hold no fears.
Grant Tuer, trainer of Real Terms
She's had a bit of a layoff and it's been a long time since she last ran in June. She missed all of the quick ground in the summer and this ground will hopefully suit, but she might just need the run.
Tim Easterby, trainer of Poet's Dawn
He's won at the course over a mile before but he's also won elsewhere over a mile and a quarter. He's been really good for us all year and was second at the track last week. If he can get on to the right part of the course then he should have a good chance.
