'I’m expecting a big run' - George Scott has high hopes for his Lingfield runner
Kieran Shoemark, James Knight, and Keith Melrose also join the panel
Who wins the Lingfield feature handicap at 2pm?
James Knight, Coral I’d make Water Of Leith a strong favourite here. He was a fast breeze-up horse and beat a smart sort in Warrior Brave last time. I also like the fact that Charlie Fellowes – up in the weights for winning easily at Southwell – could set this up for him.
Keith Melrose, Racing Post betting editor Let it never be said that small-field races cannot be competitive – you could give a serious chance to all four of these. I’m a bit surprised a horse as progressive and speedy as Charlie Fellowes is 4-1 and, with a decent pot on offer and Ben Curtis taking the ride, you would have faith in him being fit after a break. That price is wrong if he is ready.
George Scott, trainer I’m very much hoping Charlie Fellowes can continue his winning streak. He seems to have matured physically over the winter. Although we’re building into a long season for him – which could include Good Friday and Royal Ascot – I’m expecting a big run. Water of Leith, who is unexposed having won two of his three starts, looks a worthy favourite.
