Heavyweights battle for staying supremacy in star-studded Long Walk Hurdle
The build-up to Christmas has been filled with doom and gloom but racing fans are in for an early festive treat with Ascot and Haydock serving up the perfect appetiser for a feast of action next week.
A number of top-class runners have stood their ground for the feature Porsche Long Walk Hurdle (2.25) at Ascot, a contest which would certainly not look out of place at the Cheltenham Festival.
It features two heavyweights vying for supremacy in the staying hurdle division with the young pretender Thyme Hill and Paisley Park, once so dominant, set for a showdown in the Berkshire mud.
