15-time winner could prove popular on the beach at Laytown: punting pointers for Monday's action
Punting pointers from some of Monday's race meetings . . .
Kempton: track favourite
Keiran Burke has been a trainer to follow at Kempton this year, winning four times from ten runners for a strike-rate of 40 per cent.
He saddles one runner on the eight-race all-weather card, with three-year-old filly Stacey Racey lining up in the 7f handicap (6.00).
Although the daughter of Bated Breath has won just one of her eight starts, she is familiar with the track and performed well when beaten only three-quarters of a length into second by Stanley Spencer in July. She also posted a career-best Racing Post Rating at the track on her last start this month.
Burke said: "She's in good form and she's run well the last few times. She's going well at home and we're hopeful. She seems to enjoy the track."
Laytown: hot trainer
Jack Davison is a young trainer making a name for himself, with Listed scorer She's Quality one of a trio of winners at the start of the month. Since then, he has had three further places from very few runners.
The County Meath trainer has clearly targeted the beach meeting at Laytown this year, having never been involved previously, as he is represented by five runners.
The 15-time winner Harry's Bar looks his best chance in the 7f handicap (6.35).
Thirsk: Irish visitor
It's interesting that County Kildare trainer Gerard O'Leary has opted to send Local Lad to contest the 7f novice event (3.20) at Thirsk.
The trainer has had one winner from three runners at Cartmel this season, while he's also 1-1 at Newbury over jumps during his career.
O'Leary clearly thinks a lot of Local Lad as he pitched him into Group 3 company for his debut, when he outran his 100-1 odds to finish fourth in the Marble Hill Stakes at the Curragh in May.
He had horses such as Arizona Blaze and Camille Pissarro ahead of him then and, from what we know, there aren't any horses of that quality in this line-up.
Windsor: team to watch
Michael Bell and Oisin Murphy are a combination to watch having won on four of the eight times they've joined forces this season, while they also have a £20.33 profit to a £1 stake together.
The pair will hope their 50 per cent strike-rate can be improved at Windsor with Amestris, who is taking a notable drop in class in the 5f novice (2.07). She has contested Group 2, Group 3 and Listed races on her last three runs.
She wasn't disgraced in any of them and deserves to be taken seriously against this calibre of opposition.
Worcester: top team
Nigel and Sam Twiston-Davies have been in electric form. Trainer Nigel is operating at a 30 per cent strike-rate with three winners from his last ten runners, with his recent form figures reading 4311222221.
His son has a 29 per cent strike-rate after partnering four winners from his last 14 rides, his figures reading 54113913122222.
The pair team up at Worcester with Bagheera Ginge in the 2m4f handicap chase (2.25). The trainer is also represented by Chance A Tune in the same race.
The jockey will also be worth watching on Guinness Lad in the bumper (3.00) and Taste The Fear in the 2m7f handicap hurdle (5.00).
