Godolphin and Coolmore rivalry dominates proceedings at Newmarket on a Friday that has it all
Sheikh Mohammed's battles with Amo Racing's Kia Joorabchian have illuminated the Tattersalls sales this week, but a stone’s throw away on the Rowley Mile a more established rival lies in wait.
Godolphin v Coolmore has long been Flat racing's constant theme and for the next two days at Newmarket, the sport's megapowers will clash once more in the search to unearth the stars of tomorrow.
It is a case of ladies first at the Future Champions meeting with Godolphin's Classic hope Desert Flower not only taking on a Coolmore triumvirate in the Group 1 bet365 Fillies' Mile (3.35), but also a hot prospect for the team behind brilliant Arc winner Bluestocking.
