Gordon Elliott's Cheltenham ace Chosen Mate heads weights in Fairyhouse cracker

Chosen Mate is the class act on show. Winner of the Grand Annual at the Cheltenham Festival when last seen tackling fences in public, Gordon Elliott's seven-year-old has been kept to races over hurdles and on the Flat since, but even off top weight he should be difficult to beat.
Elliott has enlisted the help of top amateur Rob James, who claims 7lb off Chosen Mate, whose presence in the race means a lot of his rivals are running from out of the handicap.
JP McManus has a strong hand, with Mark Walsh opting to ride the inexperienced Entoucas over Off You Go and A Wave Of The Sea.
Sizing Pottsie is another class angle having finished just behind Felix Desjy in the Craddockstown Novice Chase at Punchestown last month and these are his optimum conditions.
Daly Tiger had the form of his Punchestown victory boosted when the runner-up Tornado Flyer ran Min closest in the John Durkan last weekend and he is also respected despite a 10lb hike.

What they say
Gordon Elliott, trainer of Chosen Mate
It's a hot race and he has plenty of weight, but Rob James is taking 7lb off his back and we're hoping he can run well.
Jessica Harrington, trainer of Sizing Pottsie
The ground will be lovely and soft. He gallops away and jumps. While he has to give plenty of weight away, I think two miles on soft ground is what he wants. He has enough experience to run well.
Noel Meade, trainer of Daly Tiger
I'm not sure if bringing him back to two miles is a good idea but we'll find out. He's rated high enough but it seemed the right race to go for with him. He's a bit of an awkward one to place but he has plenty of pace and hopefully he can run well.
Charles Byrnes, trainer of Off You Go
He ran a nice race at Cork and we're hopeful he can come on from that. I'm sure Mark [Walsh] had the choice, and he obviously chose Entoucas, but I don't mind claiming off my lad. It's a hot race, though.
