After Triumph that turned to disaster, will Goshen prove he's Champion material?
We have been waiting for this for ages. There have been numerous false dawns and so many twists and turns that we sometimes thought this day would never come. But finally it is here.
No, not the EU trade deal, nor the high-speed rail link or even the Strictly Come Dancing semi-final, but the return of Goshen to hurdles, a date which has been looked forward to as excitedly as a four-year-old looks forward to Christmas since around 1.34 on the second Thursday in March.
That was when this particular equine four-year-old looked about to do something extraordinary.
