Musselburgh farce hints at a long year ahead for racing fans

I was hoping 2025 would bring a realisation by racecourses that ordinary racegoers are important for their future.

I planned to attend Musselburgh with friends on Friday. There had been yellow weather warnings for the area for more than a week and we were hoping an early decision would be made to avoid travel problems etc.

However, after a first inspection was held on Thursday morning, a later one was ordered for 4pm that same day.
