The world's best? Breeders' Cup masterclass caps spectacular 2022 for Ryan Moore
It is not always that a meeting lives up to its hype as spectacularly as this year's Breeders' Cup.
Flightline was flawless, Aidan O'Brien and Charlie Appleby farmed six of the seven turf races, while Dirt Mile hero Cody's Wish delivered one of the most poignant of victories for his namesake Cody Dorman, a 16-year-old racing fan bravely living with a rare genetic disorder.
Such a memorable 'World Championships' was enhanced by the world-leading coverage of NBC Sports, as well as the fact this was the second successive year in which the Breeders' Cup was free of raceday medication such as Lasix. Progress indeed.
