Is it possible to agree with both Martin Greenwood and Michael O'Leary? No, I thought not. A bit like supporting Celtic but having a soft spot for Rangers? Thought so.

The thing is, though, O'Leary is right in what he says. A mark of 161 for an ageing former great, who will be a teenager on his next birthday and was beaten 92 lengths in a Betway Bowl last April, is indeed "absurd".

But how on earth could Greenwood go any lower than 161? Didn't Tiger Roll bolt up off 159 the last time he ran in the race? He's already won it twice and we all know he comes alive at Aintree. The handicapper's hands were tied.
