The Davy Russell saga continues to roll on and it seems the only thing people can agree on is that it would have been better if the affair had been concluded by now.

Two whole weeks have passed since Russell struck Kings Dolly prior to a race at Tramore and the Turf Club has made a bit of a mess of things since, taking plenty of time to hold a first hearing and then attracting criticism for only cautioning the jockey.

This is such a difficult situation because it exposes a difference in the mentality between people who work with horses every day and those who do not, and there are valid points on both sides.
