High speed thrills of a different kind at Goodwood this week

When I wrote about getting back behind the wheel of my specially modified car a few weeks ago I said my instructor had joked I may have a future as a rally driver. Well this week, I've only gone and given it a go!

Mission Motorsport, an armed forces motorsport charity, got wind of my column and very kindly invited me along to Goodwood to have a spin around the circuit and I can honestly say I have not had as much fun in a very long time.

I arrived at the circuit and was amazed to see not only a beautiful Jaguar F-Type that has been specially adapted for people with injuries like mine but that my name was written on the side along with a German flag and the Speedy Boarding colours, which was a really nice touch.
