One of the things to pop into my head while watching one seven-figure lot follow the next at Tattersalls last week was Hydrogen.
You might recall that was the name of the horse who topped Book 1 back in 2012 but went on to be an almighty flop on the course, highlighting the pitfalls of getting carried away in the heat of auction.
"It is a tired old cliche but he is the whole package," said David Redvers when signing for Hydrogen on behalf of Sheikh Fahad Al Thani for 2,500,000gns.
