Enable could have saved a feeble Flat season if Frankie had used his superpower

Frankie Dettori possesses the foresight of hindsight; the ability to seize a situation before anyone else and realise the ramifications of it there and then.

That's why, after 50 yards of the Arc, his superpower should have kicked in. That was the moment Enable had her heart to heart with history; that was the moment her path to a different stratosphere was laid; that was the moment racing's very own Peter Pan might rue more than any other when he leaves Neverland.

Enable, you see, could so easily have bossed the race herself. Upon realising it was none other than Persian King to his left, sauntering into an early lead, Dettori should have foreseen what was about to unfold and torn up the pre-race script. He should have made the running.
