It is amazing to think the summer is behind us already and we have arrived at the final Classic of the year – but while the William Hill St Leger may be the last, it is by no means the least.
This is one of the most exciting renewals of the race I can remember for years and although it is far from straightforward picking a winner, I think Crystal Ocean sets the standard.
He has proven himself to be Pattern class, running against some really good horses in races like the Dante, so we know he is up to this standard.
