Over the past 28 years I have endured some very poor runs. Not only as a punter but also in the days of advising others. As I recall, on at least two separate occasions my sequence without betting a winner has run close to the thirties.

Those days really tested me, and I'm fairly certain that if I'd had the remotest amount of ability in any other field I might have considered a change of occupation. As it turned out, my 'unemployability' was a blessing.

Can you imagine anyone turning up for a job interview with that record on their CV?
