It’s now about a 4-6 chance the Triumph Hurdle will be won by a British-trained runner for the first time this decade after East India Dock dotted up in the trial for that race at Cheltenham on Saturday. 

There was nothing not to like about his commanding performance and he stepped up again on his already decent form, with the extra stamina test the New course provided working in his favour. 

The big question: can he topple Lulamba come March? He had already achieved more than that horse before Saturday, so I can understand why some pundits reason East India Dock should now be favourite for the race.
