One jockey, one trainer, one horse and one race to watch on Saturday

Jockey

William Buick will be looking to extend his huge lead in the Flat jockeys' title race with a full book of seven rides at Newmarket.

He partners Eternal Pearl in the Listed fillies' race (3.22) and Sense Of Power in the 7f maiden (4.31) for boss Charlie Appleby and also has decent chances in the other races.

Charging Thunder (3.57) and Auditor (5.07) are last-time-out winners, Kodias Sangarius (2.16) and Koy Koy (2.51) will be among the market leaders and Lady D'Ascoyne (1.42) could build on her debut fourth.

Buick is a 9-4 shot to ride four winners or more with Ladbrokes.

Trainer

Fergal O'Brien will have been eyeing the biggest day of the summer jumps season for months and he sends a strong team to Market Rasen for the two feature races.

O'Brien, the leading British jumps trainer this season, targets a first success in the £55,000 Summer Plate (3.14) with the prolific Mortlach, who has won his last four races.

The trainer is yet to win the £45,000 Summer Handicap Hurdle (2.41) either and saddles Wolf Prince, a recent arrival from Gavin Cromwell, and Castel Gandolfo, who is the mount of stable jockey Paddy Brennan.

Horse

Magical Lagoon has been presented with a gilt-edged chance of Classic glory in the Juddmonte Irish Oaks (3.45) following the late defections of Emily Upjohn and Tuesday.

After her victory in the Ribblesdale Stakes, the Jessica Harrington-trained filly was a leading contender for the race anyway but is now a short-priced favourite.

There is a lot to like about her prospects as she won at the course as a two-year-old, improved for the step up to 1m4f last time and her stable is in flying form.

Race

The Weatherbys Super Sprint (3.30) is the race many punters will be most excited about, with 21 juveniles set to hurtle down Newbury's home straight in an attempt to snare some of the £200,000 prize-money.

Fancied runners have fared well in recent years and Queen Mary third Maria Branwell and the progressive Rogue Spirit are the two who have a bit of a break on the rest in the market.

Richard Hannon and Richard Fahey have won seven of the last nine runnings between them and are back for more, with Hannon fielding five runners (Miami Girl, Swift Asset, Land Of Summer, Armour Propre and Galore) and Fahey relying on two (Dare To Hope and Claretina).
