Oisin Murphy, Richard Hannon and Francesca Cumani look ahead to the Flat season
Can anything beat Pinatubo in the 2,000 Guineas?
Champion jockey Oisin Murphy Pinatubo was an outstanding two-year-old, he achieved so much and we all have a lot of respect for him. I suppose the one doubt is that there are plenty who have improved from two to three such as Kameko, who I ride. We've been very pleased with him.
Trainer Richard Hannon Yes, Pinatubo can be beaten. You have to take into consideration that, although he's unbeaten and at the highest level, a lot of horses grow and improve considerably over the winter. Pinatubo will be extremely hard to beat if he brings his A-game, but I like Kameko and Aidan O'Brien's Arizona, who was only beaten two lengths in the Dewhurst by him. The third horse who is an unknown quantity is Ralph Beckett's Kinross.
ITV Racing presenter Francesca Cumani On everything we know it'd be hard to see him being beaten. You can't argue with anything he's done, he was the highest-rated two-year-old in 25 years. He should get his ground and we know he'll handle Newmarket. I find it hard to see anything getting past him. I spoke to Charlie Appleby last week and he seems really happy with him – I get to see him on Tuesday too, which will be good.
