Oisin Murphy excited to see if Dragon Symbol can burn past Battaash at Goodwood
Battaash, the quickest horse in training, will have that title tested by Dragon Symbol at Goodwood on Friday after Oisin Murphy revealed the July Cup runner-up will drop back to five furlongs and tackle the Group 2 King George Qatar Stakes.
Nothing has troubled Battaash in a race he has won four years in a row but that could all change in front of what is expected to be a near sell-out crowd on the fourth day of Glorious Goodwood.
Battaash's last three victories in the race have come at odds of 8-11, 1-4 and 2-7 for trainer Charlie Hills, but despite not having to carry a penalty for winning a Group 1 this year he is available at 5-4 for his clash with the young pretender.
