Gosdens warm up promising juveniles as Emily Upjohn prepares for Group 1 target
The Limekilns were in use for the first time in about two months after welcome rain and John and Thady Gosden sent some of their nicer juveniles up the short gallop, including Saturday’s Group 2 Champagne Stakes contender Chancellor (Robert Havlin).
The two-year-old Kingman colt is unbeaten in two starts at Doncaster and could be joined on Town Moor later the same day by the equally promising Kingman colt Tycoon, who drew attention in his pairing and is booked for the mile maiden.
There was also a sighting of senior stablemate Emily Upjohn (Havlin) on the round gallop later on and she is booked for the Group 1 Prix Vermeille at Longchamp on Sunday.
