Leading Ayr Gold Cup fancy Mostabshir impresses in advance of trip north on Saturday

John and Thady Gosden could have saddled a winner of the Ayr Gold Cup by the time of Newmarket’s open weekend on Sunday as their leading candidate Mostabshir looked the business in his work on the Limekilns at second lot.
The Shadwell Estate-owned grey has already run well in one top sprint handicap when fourth in the Stewards' Cup at Goodwood last time.

There was also a sighting of Nashwa's little brother Nebras (by Dubawi), ridden by Ben Da Paiva, who also partners his elder sister each day.
