Names to note, including a €200,000 purchase who won on debut for Mullins
With our expert race readers watching – and writing a descriptive in-running comment for – every horse who runs in Britain and Ireland, there are three different categories used to denote those who are most appealing with the future in mind.
Members' Club Ultimate subscribers can add the names of the horses mentioned to their Racing Post Horse Tracker and will then receive email alerts when they are entered or declared again.
On their next start, the horses will be flagged in Signposts, which can be found in the Racing Post newspaper or online as part of Members' Club on raceday.

Did well in the circumstances
Mighty River
Third, Kempton, November 9
Had shown promise on soft ground at Doncaster on debut 19 days earlier and would have been even more involved here had he not been forced to wait for a run in the home straight.
Oscar Thyne
Third, Cheltenham, November 11
Belied a lengthy absence to make an encouraging start for his new yard, finishing well from a long way back. He's still relatively unexposed for his age, and it's worth noting that he's tends to put his best foot forward when fresh.
Perseus Way
Second, Cheltenham, November 12
A good winner of a useful 1m2f Newbury handicap from a mark of 77 when last seen in September. He was thrown in at the deep end on hurdles debut and, considering he tried to take majority of the obstacles home with him, he did mightily well to emerge second best. A useful prospect, he's clearly got an engine and shouldn't have any issue going one better in lesser company.
Moriko De Vassy
Second, Wetherby, November 12
Had found the Grade 2 Dovecote Novices' Hurdle at Kempton a step too far when last in competitive action in February and, like the winner, was making his chasing and handicap debut. His round was an error-strewn one, so he did well to finish a closing second. If he can take on board the lessons learned, he possesses the ability to make an impression in this sphere.
Eyecatcher
Bear Force
Fifth, Wolverhampton, November 7
Up in trip on his handicap debut, didn't get the clearest of runs through from off the pace and was just nudged out in the closing stages. He can probably do better.
Ghara
Sixth Kempton, November 9
20,000gns as a foal, is by Frankel out of a French 1m1f AW 2yo winner, so she might be expected to stay well as a 3yo. Her effort suggested better to come.
Decoration
Fifth, Kempton, November 9
Closely related to four winners including 1m4f Group 3 winner Sizzling and First Officer, who finished fourth in the November Handicap recently, shaped as though she might come on for this experience.
Falcon Nine
Fifth, Kempton, November 9
Is bred to be smart and this was an eyecatching effort on his third outing. He's another to be interested in for handicaps.
Headscarf Lil
Second, Newcastle, November 10
She was expected to relish this sounder surface and attracted strong support. In a race where it paid to be handy, she only really found her full stride after the last and the 8yo is clearly ready to win again.

Promising
Zarak The Brave
First, Fairyhouse, November 8
A useful middle-distance/stayer on the Flat in France who was bought for €200,000 in May, was impressive on this hurdling debut; he could have a big future. His jumping was novicey early on and his rider gave him plenty of time to find a rhythm. What impressed most was the turn of foot he showed to get to the front before the second-last and he pinged the last two flights. The quicker he went the better he jumped and he showed some serious gears.
Yotarid
Second, Newcastle, November 11
A half-brother to 1m3f (AW)-1m4f (turf) winner Moshaawer, shaped pleasingly against a more experienced winner on this racecourse debut. He'll be suited by 1m and further and seems sure to improve.
Bowenspark
First, Uttoxeter, 12th November
Cost 40,000euros as a 3yo and is out of a well-related bumper/2m4f hurdle winner. The 4yo displayed understandable inexperience on his debut but it was likeable how he was still able to assert his superiority in the home straight. The ultimate aim will be chasing over further but he can pick up some more prizes along the way.
