Mojo Star and three live Royal Ascot chances have Rossa Ryan eager to return
Sidelined jockey Rossa Ryan is hopeful he will recover in time for Royal Ascot from a broken collarbone sustained last month, an injury which ruled him out of partnering runner-up Mojo Star in Saturday's Cazoo Derby.
Ryan, who has already beaten last year's tally and ridden 64 winners in 2021, is understandably keen to renew the partnership and continue the flying start that came to a sudden halt when he fell at Wolverhampton last week.
The 20-year-old feels he can recover in time for Royal Ascot, having made excellent progress and being helped by advice given from jump jockeys more accustomed to dealing with falls. His top horses, meanwhile, have certainly given him plenty to look forward to.
