McManus chaser and a Supreme alternative among Cheltenham Festival movers

The Cheltenham Festival is less than two weeks away and some strong favourites are holding firm at the top of the market in a host of the week's flagship races.

One of the festival's most open races is the opening Supreme Novices' Hurdle, with Constitution Hill, Sir Gerhard, Dysart Dynamo and Jonbon dominating the betting.

However, the Willie Mullins-trained Kilcruit – second to Sir Gerhard in last year's Champion Bumper – has been clipped into 6-1 by a number of firms and potentially could make the Supreme puzzle even harder to unpick.

Here is a look at some notable market movers across all four days.

Kilcruit, 6-1 (from 7), Sir Gerhard, 2-1 (from 5-2)

Patrick Mullins hopes to ride Kilcruit in the Supreme and he was bullish over the seven-year-old's chances in his Racing Post Q&A on Monday.

Kilcruit was been beaten twice on his first two starts over hurdles but enjoyed a regulation 21-length victory when last seen at Punchestown at the end of January.

On Thursday, his stablemate and Champion Bumper conqueror Sir Gerhard was shortened to 2-1 and is now favourite with several firms for the Supreme – suggesting Willie Mullins could direct him there, rather than Wednesday's Ballymore.

Ultima Handicap Chase
Corach Rambler, 9-1 (from 12)

A best-priced 12-1, Corach Rambler was shortened into 9-1 in places on Wednesday. The Lucinda Russell-trained eight-year-old unseated Derek Fox when last seen at Ascot but will receive nearly a stone from favourite Does He Know.

Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle
Too Friendly, 12-1 (from 16), Doctor Brown Bear, 12-1 (from 20)

The Dan Skelton-trained Too Friendly is now available at 12-1 for the Boodles, while the Martin Brassil-trained Irish raider Doctor Brown Bear can be backed from 12-1 through to 20-1 with some firms, although unexposed French recruit Gaelic Warrior continues to head the betting for Willie Mullins.

Brown Advisory Novices' Chase
Ahoy Senor, 4-1 (from 5)

Peter Scudamore has suggested the seven-year-old is on course for a Cheltenham rematch with Bravemansgame, and he can be backed at a best price of 4-1. Galopin Des Champs remains an odds-on favourite for the race but could still be aimed at Thursday's Turners Novices' Chase.

Chacun Pour Soi, 5-1 (from 6)

Willie Mullins remains in search of his maiden Champion Chase victory and breaking his duck this year will be tough with Shishkin odds on for Wednesday's feature. However, Chacun Pour Soi beaten on both of his starts in England to date has shortened in the betting and is now as short as 5-1 in places for the race, behind stablemate Energumene (7-2).

Andy Dufresne, 12-1 (from 14), Red Rookie, 16-1 (from 20)

Andy Dufresne has been cut to 12-1 to give Gordon Elliott his second Grand Annual win, following Chosen Mate's success in 2020. Red Rookie, trained by Emma Lavelle, is still available at 20-1 with a best price of 16-1.

Pertemps Network Final
Dunboyne, 7-1 (from 8)

Dunboyne, who qualified for this when finishing fifth at Leopardstown in December and will run off a lowly mark of 134, is now available at 7-1 in places, meaning there is now a four-way split at the top of the market including Sporting John, Sire Du Berlais and Alaphilippe.

Imperial Alcazar, 7-1 (from 8), The Glancing Queen, 10-1 (from 12), Busselton, 10-1 (from 14)

Imperial Alcazar has been cut to 7-1 in places for the Plate – he was a winner at Cheltenham in January for Fergal O'Brien. The Glancing Queen, trained by Alan King, has been shortened to a best-priced 10-1, with the Joseph O'Brien-trained Busselton ranging from 10-1 to 14-1.

Dinoblue, 11-4 (from 10-3), Grangee, 7-1 (from 8), Impervious, 7-1 (from 8)

Wednesday morning's confirmation Allegorie De Vassy would miss Cheltenham through injury means Willie Mullins will be looking to favourite Brandy Love (5-2) to give him a sixth success in the race in seven years. He could also be represented by Dinoblue and Grangee, who have now shortened to 11-4 and 7-1.

Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle
Ballygrifincottage, 16-1 (from 25)

Ballygrifincottage attracted support on Wednesday, being cut into 16-1 (from 25) in places. The Dan Skelton-trained seven-year-old has run twice under rules, last seen winning at Lingfield in January.

Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup
Galvin, 7-2 (from 4)

Galvin's charge up the market in the week's showpiece is continuing, with nine more firms cutting him to as short as 7-2 for the Gold Cup – sandwiched between A Plus Tard and last year's winner Minella Indo in the betting.

Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle
Langer Dan, 4-1 (from 5)

The Dan Skelton-trained Langer Dan was an honourable second to Galopin Des Champs in this race last year, and is now favourite to go one better in this year's race alongside State Man, trained by Willie Mullins.
