Master Tommytucker sends Rubbish Mario Sisters flying to the top of the table

SUNBURY, ENGLAND - JANUARY 09: Harry Cobden riding Master Tommytucker smash through the last fence but remain upright to win The Ladbrokes Silviniaco Conti Chase at Kempton Park Racecourse on January 09, 2021 in Sunbury, England. Due to the Coronavirus pa

No-one will have been more relieved that Harry Cobden was able to cling on tight to Master Tommytucker as he hit the last fence at Kempton on Saturday than the jockey himself but the owner of the Rubbish Mario Sisters 46 stable will not have been far behind.

Instead of launching Cobden out of the saddle, Master Tommytucker was able to propel the team of Rubbish Mario Sisters 46 to the top of the Tote Ten To Follow leaderboard on a weekend when big winners from the list were few and far between.

Only 120 stables included Master Tommytucker in their squads and of the leading Ten To Follow teams only Rubbish Mario Sisters 46 picked up any points, with the 22.6 from Master Tommytucker's Silviniaco Conti Chase victory enabling them to leapfrog from fifth to first. They lead by just 1.96 points, 343.04 to 341.08, from previous pacesetter Waynespink7

Nicholls' other key points contributor was McFabulous, a popular pick as he represented 4,718 stables and contributed 22.9 points through his success in the Relkeel Hurdle.

There were rather fewer Ten To Follow cheers as Kempton course specialist Double Shuffle returned to his happy place for victory in a handicap chase. James Bowen's patient riding performance ensured 16.7 points were returned to the single Ten To Follow player who had retained faith in the 11-year-old who had not won for more than four years despite an immense performance at the track when second to Might Bite in the 2017 King George VI Chase.

With the bonus points for the Welsh Grand National unclaimed as Secret Reprieve did not figure in Ten To Follow lists, the race for the January prize is wide open.

The next bonus races are at the Dublin Racing Festival on February 6 and 7 when the Irish Champion Hurdle and Irish Gold Cup hold the stage.
