Leading Supreme fancy Constitution Hill among nine entries for Tolworth

Supreme second favourite Constitution Hill could face up to eight rivals on his second start as he lines up for the Unibet Tolworth Novices' Hurdle (2.25) at Sandown on Saturday.

The Nicky Henderson-trained five-year-old made a sparkling debut when routing a novice hurdle over course and distance last month, and has been made an odds-on favourite with the sponsors to follow up in Grade 1 company.

He beat the now 135-rated Might I by 14 lengths that day and the Harry Fry-trained novice could reoppose, with his stablemate Metier winning this race last season.

Other potential rivals include Mr Glass, who is unbeaten in two starts over hurdles this term for Paul Nicholls, and the well-regarded Shallwehaveonemore for Gary Moore.

It could be a big day for trainer Ryan Potter, who entered Jetoile, an easy winner at Chepstow and Leicester on his last two starts, in the £70,000 contest.

Constitution Hill, owned by Michael Buckley, is a general 4-1 second favourite for the Supreme behind 9-4 favourite and stablemate Jonbon. He is also a 12-1 chance for the Ballymore Novices' Hurdle.

On the Sandown undercard, the Shark Hanlon-trained Skyace and Willie Mullins-trained Gauloise, one-two in a Fairyhouse Grade 1 in April, could clash once more in the Listed Unibet 3 Uniboosts A Day Mares' Hurdle (12.40).

Martello Sky, trained by Lucy Wadham, could lead the home challenge, with the Harry Fry-trained Whitehotchillifili bidding for back-to-back wins in the 2m4f contest.

The final of the 2021 veterans' chase series (3.00) features several familiar names, including Aso, Final Nudge and Potters Corner.
