William Hill go non-runner no bet for every race at the 2023 Cheltenham Festival
William Hill have become the first bookmaker to offer non-runner no bet for all races at the 2023 Cheltenham Festival, from noon on New Year's Day.
The firm are offering the terms – for which customers' stake is refunded if the selection does not run in the chosen race – almost a month earlier than last year.
William Hill are also offering five places for all the handicaps at jump racing's biggest fixture.
Lee Phelps, a spokesperson for the firm, said: "The picture for a lot of ante-post punters will now be a fair bit clearer after a busy week of festive racing, but there's certainly no guarantee that any horse will make it to Cheltenham in March at this stage.
"So, with interest building all the time but still a few doubts over festival targets, it feels the right time to give customers some insurance on their Cheltenham bets.
"This is the earliest we have ever gone with this offer on all races at the festival, and we look forward to seeing where the money lands over the coming weeks."
The Cheltenham Festival starts on March 14 and entries for races such as the Gold Cup, Ryanair Chase and Champion Chase are to be revealed this week.
It is the biggest punting week of the year with eight of the contests across the four days among the ten biggest betting races, according to the latest figures from the Horserace Betting Levy Board (HBLB) in 2021.
