Knight Salute could cement his leading claims for the Cheltenham Festival at Kempton on Saturday after he was entered in both the Adonis Juvenile Hurdle (1.50) and Dovecote Novices' Hurdle (2.25).

The four-year-old has been the leading light of Milton Harris's resurgent season with two successes at Grade 2 level, but has not been seen since the last of those victories in the Summit Juvenile Hurdle at Doncaster in December.

Knight Salute is as short as 10-1 with bet365 for Triumph Hurdle glory next month, with last weekend's Haydock winner Porticello the only British-trained hope shorter than him in the betting.

Harris has given his stable star two options on Saturday's card and headlines 15 entries for the Adonis, or he could clash with fellow talented juvenile Iceo in the Dovecote, with the pair among 13 entries for the 2m race.

Christian Williams could be triple-handed in the feature Coral Trophy (3.37), having left in December's course-and-distance winner Five Star Getaway, Kitty's Light and Cap Du Nord at the latest confirmations stage.

Bet365 Gold Cup winner Potterman and Enrilo, who was controversially demoted from first place in that race, could clash again in the £150,000 contest, which could also feature the classy Lalor and The Big Breakaway.

The Paul Nicholls-trained Pic D'Orhy could bid for another Grade 2 success in the Coral Pendil Novices' Chase (2.25) and was among eight entries including fellow Graded winner Minella Drama.

Lingfield set for return of Flat stars

Lingfield could be set for an all-weather cracker as multiple Group 1 star Lord North and Royal Ascot winner Alenquer were among nine left in at the latest confirmations stage for the Winter Derby (2.05).

Lord North has not been seen since winning his second top-level contest in the Dubai Turf at Meydan last March and has been confirmed to be on target for the race by joint-trainer John Gosden instead of a lucrative trip to Saudi Arabia.

However, he could face a tough task against the William Haggas-trained Alenquer, who landed the King Edward VII Stakes last summer before finishing second in the Juddmonte International.

Eclair Surf set for Eider task

Eclair Surf could bid to lay down his claims for some lucrative staying contests in the spring as the Classic Chase winner featured among 23 entries for the Eider Chase at Newcastle (3.15).

The Emma Lavelle-trained eight-year-old was an impressive 13-length winner of the Warwick Grade 3 chase last month on his first try over further than three miles and could step up in trip again for the stamina-sapping 4m1½f contest.
