Juddmonte International: Mishriff lands first domestic Group 1 under Egan

Mishriff has won big races all over the world but none as impressively as this. He powered clear of a high-quality field to win by six lengths and provide his jockey with a breakthrough British Group 1 success. His joint-trainer John Gosden won the race in 2018 with Roaring Lion.

The four-year-old, who landed the Saudi Cup and Dubai Sheema Classic, earned a host of quotes for the world's top races and was cut to 5-2 favourite for the Champion Stakes at Ascot, 7-1 for the Breeders' Cup Classic and 12-1 for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

Great Voltigeur: Yibir bounces back

Yibir bounced back from defeat at Glorious Goodwood when toughing it out to finish clear of The Mediterranean, who was cut to 10-1 (from 33) for the Cazoo St Leger. Yibir is not the easiest to ride at home but a gelding operation seems to have worked wonders. He could be aimed at the Jockey Club Derby at Belmont by Charlie Appleby.
