'We were happy to open our doors' - Joseph O'Brien lifts lid on Netflix pilot
Joseph O'Brien has explained how he opened the doors of Owning Hill Stables to the film crew behind the hugely popular Drive To Survive Netflix series and believes that the "sky's the limit" for racing if the pilot production leads to the documentary series getting the go-ahead.
The Racing Post understands the project to produce the horseracing version of Drive To Survive has been positively received by Netflix while O'Brien, who allowed filming to take place at his yard, believes the intrusive nature of the show is a small price to pay to broaden racing's appeal.
He said: "It's early days with the whole thing but we were happy to open our doors. They filmed here and in Francis Graffard's yard in France, and I believe they also filmed in the UK and America.
