'It was staggering' - Henderson blown away by Constitution Hill performance
Constitution Hill's sensational Fighting Fifth victory has left trainer Nicky Henderson wondering what heights his odds-on unbeaten Champion Hurdle favourite can scale next.
Expectations were high for last season's 22-length Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner and he answered the call in no uncertain terms at Newcastle on Saturday, powering away from Champion Hurdle-winning stablemate Epatante in devastating fashion.
Constitution Hill was awarded a Racing Post Rating of 176 for the performance, 4lb higher than his festival triumph, and Henderson was taken aback by the ease with which he dismissed his rivals.
