Stayers' Hurdle dark horse The Wallpark could run in Long Walk at Ascot on first start since JP McManus purchase

Saturday's Grade 1 Howden Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot is being considered for The Wallpark on what would be his first start for new owner JP McManus.

The prolific handicapper has won his last four races, resulting in his mark soaring to 152 from 129. 

The six-year-old was last seen winning a Pertemps Qualifier at Cheltenham's Showcase meeting in October. He holds an entry in the Grade 1 Leopardstown Christmas Hurdle on December 28, but trainer Gordon Elliott has revealed the Long Walk Hurdle is being strongly considered.
