JJ Slevin set to return for strong book of rides over Christmas - but he won't be at Kempton to partner Banbridge
JJ Slevin has won his race against time to be back from injury for a promising book of rides over the Christmas period, but uncertainty remains over who partners Banbridge in the King George VI Chase as the jockey will be at Leopardstown to ride for his retainers Sean and Bernadine Mulryan instead.
Slevin has been out of action since October due to a broken bone in his foot and had originally aimed to be back in time to ride Fastorslow in the John Durkan last month, but the injury proved more complicated than first thought.
However, he is on the brink of a return to the saddle and scheduled to partner Cottesloe Sunshine in the Listed mares' novice hurdle at Thurles on Saturday before some excellent mounts over the festive period.
