Henry de Bromhead looking to lucrative Fleur de Lys Chase at Windsor for Journey With Me
Henry de Bromhead is favouring a tilt at Windsor's lucrative Winter Million fixture on Sunday over Thurles for Journey With Me, who is said to have recovered well after suffering a knock in the John Durkan at Punchestown in November.
The nine-year-old has some strong form over fences, most notably when defeating Appreciate It in a Grade 2 at Fairyhouse at the track's Easter meeting last season. He subsequently stepped up in trip for the Punchestown Gold Cup, in which he finished seventh behind Fastorslow and dropped back in distance for his seasonal reappearance in a strong renewal of the John Durkan.
He was well held in sixth behind Fact To File but De Bromhead reported he was struck into early on in the race. But he has since recovered well and could clash with the likes of Protektorat and Pic D'Orhy in the the Fitzdares Fleur de Lys Chase, which is worth £165,000.
