Mogul will attempt to join Highland Reel as a dual winner of the Group 1 Longines Hong Kong Vase on Sunday, with Aidan O'Brien saying the repeat bid has long been the target.

Set to make his first start since finishing sixth in a Deauville Group 3 in August, the Galileo four-year-old has run only four times since his Sha Tin triumph last year.

Unsuitably soft ground has counted against Mogul on his recent outings but O'Brien says faster conditions will suit Ryan Moore's mount in the HK$20 million (£1.94m/€2.26m) contest.
