King Power Racing have set The Foxes the daunting task of facing Romantic Warrior but hope he can run a huge race against the global superstar after supplementing him for next month's Hong Kong Cup.

The Andrew Balding-trained four-year-old was an impressive winner of the Dante Stakes last year as well as finishing fifth in the Derby. He had failed to win since his York heroics before running out an impressive scorer in the Listed Churchill Stakes at Newcastle on Saturday.

That triumph over Group 1 winner Dubai Honour tempted connections to stump up the fee to go to Sha Tin and take on Romantic Warrior. The Danny Shum-trained star will attempt a Hong Kong Cup hat-trick following his stunning return on Sunday.

"There are no other targets this year for him in Britain and nothing until the Winter Derby at Southwell in late February, so we're going to have a crack at Hong Kong," King Power's racing manager Alastair Donald said.

"It's exciting and we know that Romantic Warrior will be extremely hard to beat, but there's massive prize-money on offer, so he could earn a lot for running into a place."

The Foxes was last in the Neom Turf Cup in Saudi Arabia in February on a previous international trip, but Donald believes it was not down to travel. He also finished second in the Grade 1 Belmont Derby in the US last year.

Donald added: "He wasn't right when he ran in Saudi and then he got injured at Newmarket, where he was virtually pulled up. He was about 80 per cent fit for his return last month, so we weren't surprised to see him back to his best at Newcastle.

"The last couple of races have all been about the future and the ground and the trip in Hong Kong will fit well too. It's worth having a go and the owners love to have a crack with runners in these prestigious races."

Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint hero Starlust was also part of the supplemented British challenge, having been added to the Hong Kong Sprint.
